The ribbon, button by button

Every tab, group and button on the ribbon, with what each button does in the words of its tooltip (hold the mouse over a button in the program to see the same text). A button with no tooltip is described by its name alone.

The File tab, at the left end, opens the File page: see Projects and files.

Template Designer Designs a template for the design routes: a canal, road, bund, railway or drain, or one drawn point by point (Ctrl+D)

Section

While the Cross Section or Long Section screen is in front. See Review the cross sections, Edit a section and Print sections.

Group Button What it does
View Cross Section The cross sections, one chainage at a time (also C/S in the bar above the drawing)
Long Section The long section through every chainage (also L/S in the bar above the drawing)
Full Screen The drawing over the whole screen, with the chainage and Mark reviewed floating over it (F11; Esc to come back)
Animate Goes through the cross sections one after another (speed in Animation Settings)
All Points Every point of every section in one table: slides out from the left edge (its pin keeps it there)
Redraw Draws the section in front again (F5)
Reset Panels The panels back where they were first laid out. Drag a panel by its title to put it beside, above or below another, or out to float; the layout is kept for next time.
